PART 1 - ESTABLISHMENT
- The Office of Legislative Affairs (OoLA) shall include;
- The Vice President
- Any other members added by law or the Executive Office of the President
- Responsibilities
- The Office of Legislative Affairs shall;
- Implement the President’s manifesto into law from concept to judicial review
- Draft legislation as requested by the Executive Office of the President, Cabinet, or any branch leadership which is not the House of Representatives
- This task may be shared with the Legislature.
- Advise the President on signing / vetoing legislation
- Perform any other actions dictated by law
- Government Bills
- The OoLA may publish Government Bills to the Legislature
- No bill published from anyone outside of the OoLA shall be certified as a Government Bill
- ​Working Groups
- Legislative
- The Office of Legislative Affairs may, via order, establish working groups to be made up of members of the White House to explore a topic of the President's legislative agenda
- Each working group shall be required to have a terms of reference
- Each working group shall submit all legislation as the OoLA deems fit
- Investigative
- The Office of Legislative Affairs may, via order, establish working groups to be made up of members of the White House to discuss and explore topics relating to the White House
- Each working group shall be required to have a terms of reference
- Each working group shall submit a report on its findings
- Powers
- All powers delegated to the OoLA shall be reserved for the Vice President, and may be delegated to any member in the office as requested by the Vice President
PART 2 - POWERS TO AMEND
- The President, Vice President and Chief of Staff may amend this act via order, except for this part.
- All amendments made to this Act by primary legislation must have received the OoLA’s response
